About the Workshop

I am sure that you will be aware that the NHS are expecting significant numbers of people to develop chronic fatigue or "long Covid".  In October 2020 Oct 2020 Sir Simon Stevens, the head of NHS England, announced that £10m would be invested this year in setting up long-Covid clinics in every area across England.  He also said that there were "tens of thousands, probably hundreds of thousands" of patients affected.

Estimates derived from ONS statistice released at the start of 2021suggest one in 10 of those infected with the virus could be affected.

Inevitably, people will make their way through to working with therapists, just like you.

Do you feel as though you understand enough about chronic fatigue conditions to be able to support those with chronic fatigue /  long Covid who are going to be needing your skills, knowledge and experience in recovering their health?

I am a fatigue specialist working primarily with women who have chronic fatigue - they come to me with varying description such as:  Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E), Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS), Post Viral Syndrome (PVF), chronic fatigue, exhaustion and now, 2 categories of "long Covid ".

I support my clients to recover their health and wellbeing so that they can get on with living the lives they want to live rather than the restricted, frustrating, demoralising and debilitating lives that many with chronic fatigue so often feel trapped in.

Through this webinar I will share information about chronic fatigue conditions and how I work with my clients alongside The Chrysalis Effect Online Recovery Pathway so that you have more confidence and knowledge with which to support any clients coming to you for therapy.  This will include

  • the pre-dispositions and profile of a chronic fatigue sufferer
  • the coping mechanisms and warning signs that many clients often ignore
  • what we understand so far regarding long Covid and the cross over with more "traditional" chronic fatigue

This information will help you to more readily identify underlying issues and guide your therapeutic work.

I will also explain how you can enhance your reputation and credibility with your clients by signposting them to resources that compliment your work with them and provide specific support for their chronic fatigue.  Through understanding

  • how you can support your chronic fatigue clients
  • resources available
  • benefits to you as a practitioner

We all rely on word-of-mouth personal recommendations to expand our businesses and nothing beats the recommendation of a clients who is delighted with their recovery.  By expanding your knowledge and understanding you will be able to support more clients to recovery and build on your reputation as a therapist who really can make a difference.

At the end of the webinar, I will hold a Q&A session for you to bring any questions you may have

  • regarding clients with chronic fatigue that you are already working with or
  • any of the information shared earlier in the webinar.

There is no charge for this webinar - the last 12 months have to really tough for many of us and I am keen to ensure that as many therapists as want to be are in the best position to get their businesses back up and running in 2021.

If you have any questions or simply want to connect and get to know more about me and the work I do, please drop me an email - suzanne@reconnectingyou.co.uk
