About the Workshop

How do values and beliefs link to chronic fatigue?

Experience of supporting people in recovery from ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia has shown me that sometime the values and beliefs we hold can contribute to making our chronic fatigue conditions worse.  

Think of it as subconscious self-sabotage, the things we don't consciously decide on but that end up interferring with what we do consciously want to achieve.

How does this help my recovery from ME/CFS or Fibromyalgia?

By digging into your values and beliefs you can join the dots around why you think and do the things you do. Gaining this understanding can literally be life changing. It allows you to make small adjustmens that have a big impact on your health and wellbeing so that you can start to get your life back.

What does the Discovery Course Pilot involve?

This course is designed to uncover how your thoughts, actions, beliefs and values are contributing to your ME/CFS or Fibromyalgia and then work out what small changes you can make so that your overall health and wellbeing improves.

The course will run live online over 5 weeks from Thursday 6 August 2020.

  • Weeks 1 & 2: Thursday 6 & 13 August 3pm-5pm

Group sessions where all participants will be working together to explore and understand core values and key beliefs and how these relate to behaviours that exacerbate fatigue conditions.

  • Week 3: Wednesday 19 or Thursday 20 August

You will have a 1:1 online session with me where we explore how your personal priority key belief may be holding you back from living the life that you want.

  • Weeks 4 & 5: Thursday 27 August & 3 September 3pm-5pm

Group sessions where we will focus on the small changes that you can put in place to begin to improve your physical health.

And how will you know if it's working?

You will be asked to complete questionnaires at the start and end of the course. These will enable you to see and track any personal changes as a result of your participation in the course, as well as providing feedback that will help to improve future courses.

This is an opportunity for you to participate in and to help shape this brand new course. As a thank you for your contribution, this Discovery Course Pilot is being offered for £95 per person.  

This includes:  

all the printed material you will need for each weekly session

4 x 2 hour group workshops as well as

1 x  individual session with me

This is powerful work I know that makes a huge difference when I am working one to one with my clients.  I know from feedback that it's the kind of work that brings about a turning point that allows the recovery journey to begin.  It is possible to live the life you want live, rather than simply exisitng.

Since this course is focused on supporting people who have a diagnosis of ME, CFS or Fibromyalgia, you may be concerned about whether you will be well enough to join in and/or concentrate. To reassure you, the following will be in place:

  • Each session will be recorded so that you can re-visit it if you need to
  • You will be with like-minded people who understand (from their own experiences) what you are going through and will be supportive
  •  You won’t be asked to do any more than you are comfortable with, so there’s no need to worry about over-exerting yourself.

In addition, I have set up a closed Facebook Group so that, following the course, you will be able to stay in touch and support each other through your journey.

Warning: This is not a magic wand FULL RECOVERY course. It is simply a beginning to wellbeing.
