Heath’s Energy Journey

From Fibromyalgia Diagnosis to Steadier Energy and Self-Trust

Starting Point

When Heath began the Your Energy – Your Way programme, he had been living with years of unexplained tiredness, headaches and sinus problems.

In late 2020, persistent pain led to a diagnosis of fibromyalgia.

The message he received was discouraging: not much could be done.

As an engineer, Heath approached his symptoms analytically. He searched for answers, looking at his body like a diagnostic exercise.

But the more he researched, the more overwhelming it became.

“When you’re living day-to-day thinking this is it for the rest of your life, you have to find hope from somewhere.”

Why He Decided to Begin

Heath wasn’t expecting miracles.

He wanted clarity:

  • What would this realistically change?

  • What commitment would it require?

  • Was it sustainable?

When he found Reconnecting You, the approach resonated because it felt structured and holistic.

“I didn’t want to put my body under more stress with medication. The way Suzanne described recovering energy, releasing trauma and relaxing the body made sense to me.”

After speaking with his wife and reflecting carefully, he committed to the 14-week programme.

What We Focused On

(Your Energy – Your Way
14 Week 1:1 Programme)

The programme began with understanding his current state — physically and emotionally.

From there, Heath:

🌿 Clarified how he wanted life to look in the future
🌿 Built stepping stones and measurable benchmarks
🌿 Explored trauma patterns safely
🌿 Learned nervous system calming techniques
🌿 Developed daily self-regulation tools
🌿 Reflected on personality traits and coping strategies

He appreciated the structure.

“The sessions were unbelievably well thought out. As I neared the end and began seeing results, I realised how carefully everything had been designed.”

The flexibility mattered too. He could watch videos and complete worksheets when his energy allowed, then discuss them in live sessions.

What Changed

Around week ten, Heath noticed a significant shift.

When completing his final progress scoring, his improvements were double what he had initially expected.

But what stood out most was not the numbers — it was awareness.

“You release so many things during the programme. Your mood changes, and that alters how you look at everything.

He tested this unintentionally during a milestone birthday celebration, where he overdid it slightly.

When symptoms flared briefly, he noticed something important:

Most of the pain he had previously lived with daily was gone.

And more importantly — he knew how to respond.

“I now notice these things and can take a step back to look after myself.”

Where He Is Now

Heath describes having energy without constant fear of relapse.

He is:

  • Gradually reintroducing meaningful activities

  • Planning to volunteer with his local football club

  • Spending time with his grandchildren confidently

  • Taking steps at a sustainable pace

“I can now take the grandchildren to the park and know I’m going to be ok afterwards. It’s a simple thing, but it means everything.”

He understands the work continues.

“It’s not like the programme ends and everything is fixed. I have the blueprint now. I can revisit the tools and build on them.”

Heath’s Reflection

“I wasn’t expecting miracles. I was looking for progress.

I found structure, understanding and tools I can keep using.

Even if it had only helped a little, it would have been worth it.

The fact that it’s helped this much has changed how I see my future.”

Could Your Energy Journey Look Different Too?

Every person arrives with their own story.

Some are dealing with chronic fatigue.
Some with fibromyalgia or burnout.
Others with years of broken sleep or nervous system overload.

What they share is a moment where they decide to explore their energy differently.

If something in this story felt familiar, you’re very welcome to begin a conversation.

A gentle 15-minute conversation to explore what’s going on and whether this approach might be helpful for you.
